Hakkı Uygur

Autobiography

He was born in Berlin, Germany in 1975. After being graduated from high school in Istanbul, he went to Iran for higher education. He finished first IKUI in Qazvin and later Tehran University in the History of Islamic Culture and Civilization department, with a master's degree. He returned to Turkey in 2005 and started to work in the Foundation of Sciences and Arts (Bilim ve Sanat Vakfı) in Istanbul as a researcher and translator. He wrote a lot of articles in Anlayış Magazine and other Turkish newspapers, magazines, and websites about the Middle East, particularly on Iran.

Dr. Uygur thought Persian classes at different levels and translated almost ten books about Iranian culture, history, and politics from Persian to Turkish. He was invited to work in PUIC, Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States as director of Administration and Protocol by the Secretary-General of the Union in 2010. He started the Ph.D. program in Persian Language and Literature at Tehran University in 2011 and finished his thesis in February 2015. He worked at the Middle East Desk of TRT World Channel between 2015-16.
